Abstract
PURPOSE: To isomerize dichlorobutene in high yield at a relatively low temperature with preventing obstruction of an apparatus by suppressing the formation of tarry high-boiling by-products, by using a highly active catalyst comprising cuprous chloride and 1, 3-diphenylguanidine or di-o-tolylguanidine.
CONSTITUTION: Isomerization between 3, 4-dichlorobutene-1 and 1, 4-dichlorobutene-2 is carried out at a relatively low temperature of 80-120°C, preferably 85-95°C, using, as an isomerization catalyst, cuprous chloride and 1, 3-diphenylguanidine or di-o-tolylguanidine. Concentration of the catalyst is 0.05-1.0, especially 0.3-0.5 wt.% of cuprons chloride and 0,05-2, especially 0.15-0.6. wt.% of 1, 3-diphenylguanidine or di-o- tolyl-guanidine based on dichlorobutene.
EFFECT: Said catalyst is highly active even in low concentration and is not corrosive to the reactor
