NEW MATERIAL:Thiolcarbamates of formula I (R1, R2, R3 are 1-4C alkyl; X is H, halogen).
EXAMPLE: S-3-Methyl-5-isoxazolylmethyl-N,N-diethylthiol carbamate.
USE: Herbicides; they have good herbicidial activity against weeds especially in rice paddy and high-selectivity, completely harmless to cultured plants.
PREPARATION: A dialkylamine of formula II is reacted with carbonyl sulfide of formula III and subsequently with 5-halogenomethylisoxazole of formula IV (Hal is halogen) to form a thiolcarbamate of formula I
