PROCESS: The objective compound I is prepared either (1) by hydrolyzing 1 mole of the compound II (novel compound) with 1-10 moles (pref. 1-5 moles) of NaOH, KOH, etc., in a solvent comprising water, alcohols or their mixture, at the refluxing temperature of the solvent for 5 min-48 hours, or (2) by reducing 1 mole of the compound III with 1/3-5 moles (pref. 1-3 moles) of aluminum isopropoxide, etc., in a solvent such as isopropyl alcohol, etc. at the refluxing temprature of the solvent for 15 min-48 hours.
