Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the crack growth and wear resistances of rubber chafer by containing cis-1,4-polybutadiene with syndiotactic-1,2-polybutadiene polymer and mixing it with higher carbon black.
CONSTITUTION: The content of syndiotactic-1,2-polybutadiene is adjusted to 6 to 20% by weight. 40 to 90 parts of polybutadiene rubber and 5 to 60 parts of other diene rubber such as natural rubber or the like are further contained by weight. Relatively higher carbon black is also contained to thereby raising sufficient reinforcing effect in the rubber chafer.
