Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify a manufacture process to a coating step and a decoration step by laser beam irradiation, to enable formation of a light and dark pattern, and to optionally form a minute pattern.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of type body 1 is subjected to shot blast roughening treatment, then, undergoes spray of a white type coating material consisting mainly of, e.g. melamine resins, this is hardened under a high temp. atmosphere to form coated film 2, and on this film, black type coated film 3 is formed in a similar manner. After formation of films 2 and 3, the predetermined positions on film 3 located at the outermost layer are irradiated by laser beams and burnt in accordance with the bar-code pattern requiring a black coating film. This permits forming of a light and dark pattern by direct treatment of the article surface, as well as formation of a minute pattern optionally by irradiation of laser beams.
