Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the quantity of spoilage in the case when starting printing by a method wherein water or alcohols are supplied to a kneading roller when starting printing.
CONSTITUTION: When starting a lithographic rotary press machine that does not use a wetting water feeder, water or alcohols are supplied to a kneading roller portion by emulsion ink, which employs oily ink components consisting of vegetable drying oil, natural or synthetic resin varnish, a solvent with the high boiling point, a pigment, etc. and aqueous components, such as, water, alcohols, etc. as indispensable components and to which additive components are added in response to purposes. Thus, the oily ink components and the aqueous components are rapidly fed to blocks in balanced shapes, and spoilage in the case when starting printing is decreased.
