Abstract
PURPOSE: A fluorine-containing preparation for oral use that contains a stannous salt, a water-soluble fluorine compound and an acid permissible in oral application in a specific proportion, thus having high tooth-decay prevention effect and storage stability in spite of low concentrations of F- and Sn++ ions.
CONSTITUTION: Said fluorine-containing preparation contains a stannous salt as SnF2, SnCl2 or so, a water-soluble fluorine compound as NaF or KF and an acid permissible in oral application as L-ascorbic acid or lactic acid. In the composition for oral application, the concentration of F- ion dissolving in the composition is 50W300ppm and the molar ratio of the dissolving F- ion to the dissolving Sn++ is 2.5W7.5. The composition is prepared to gargle, bandage for oral use and ointment.
