Abstract
PURPOSE: To heighten an output voltage, by overlapping two or more unitary solar batteries in a prescribed relation to each other.
CONSTITUTION: A silver paste electrode 2 and a transparent electroconductive film 3 are provided on a glass board 1 which covers a light reception face. Unitary solar battery layers 4(P+), 5(N-), 6(N+) of amorphous silicon are grown. After the first unitary solar battery is manufactured, other layers 8(P+), 9(N-), 10(N+) for the second unitary solar battery are produced on a transparent electrode 7. Another transparent electroconductive film 11 and other layers 12(P+), 13(N-), 14(N+) for the third unitary solar battery are sequentially produced. A reverse-side electrode 15 is made of nickel. To equalize the photocurrents of the unitary solar batteris to one another, their thickness is increased downward. According to this method, the unitary solar batteries can be overlapped with one another by a low-temperature process for an amorphous semiconductor to heighten the output voltage.
