Abstract
PURPOSE: For lessening thickness, to make a solar cell directly on the inner side of cover glass.
CONSTITUTION: A transparent conductive coat 3 is formed on the inner surface of cover glass 2, CdS layer 4 on said coat 3, CdTe layer 5 on said layer 4, Cu2Te layer 6 on said layer 5, and an electrode 7 on said layer 6 and a portion of CdS layer 4. Since a solar cell 1 is formed directly on the inner surface of said cover glass 2, no substrate is required and the thickness of said solar cell 1 can be lessened considerably. For charging a secondary cell, a plurality of such solar cells 1 are made, insulating layer and an electrode are formed and connected in series, and higher charge voltage is supplied then that of said secondary cell.
