Abstract

PURPOSE: Title composition having quick thermosetting property and prolonged storage potlife, which comprises imidazoles and mixture of epoxy resin and cyanate resins.
CONSTITUTION: Composition which comprises (A) cyanate resins, (B) epoxy resins and (C) imidazoles of the formula (wherein R1, R2, R4, R5 are H, an alphatic hydrocarbon group, an aromatic hydrocarbon group, a hydroxyl group, a cyano group, an aliphatic or aromatic group substituted by heterocyclic groups), their derivatives or the organic acid adducts of the imidazoles or their derivatives. The cyanate resin to be used is a compound in which a cyanate group is introduced by reacting cyanogen halide on a compound having a phenolic OH: for example 2,2'- bis-(4-cyanatophenyl)propane.
