Abstract

PURPOSE: To give a uniform dyeing property and good lubricous property, by carrying out electrolytic treatment in ammonium thiomolybdate water solution after dyeing anodic oxidation coating of Al or Al alloy.
CONSTITUTION: Anodic oxidation coating formed on the surface of Al or Al alloy, is dyed by organic dyestuff and as occasion demands, activation treatment is carried out in nitric acid water solution. Next, electrolytic treatment is carried out in ammonium molybdate water solution of about 1W100g/l calculated in terms of molybdenum weight and molybdenum disulfide is impregnated and fixed in minute holes of anodic oxidation coating. By the above treating method, treated material having a uniform color tone and good lubricous property without affected by the quality of basic material or the thickness of oxidation coating. Also, precise dimension accuracy is obtained because the dyestuff or lubricant is not scaled off by abrasion etc. Accordingly, the above treated material is used for the precision industrial parts suitably.
