Abstract

PURPOSE:To recover the holding heat of an exhaust gas cooling water as well as to stabilize the operation of an exhaust gas cooler by a method wherein a ''Flon'' evaporating circuit is provided between a high temp. water tank of a high temp. exhaust gas cooling apparatus of a converter and a heat exchanger as well as a bypass circuit is provided to a heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:The high temp. exhaust gas issued from a converter M is cooled by a cooler 1 and a high temp. cooling water is stored in a high temp. water tank 3 and the temp. thereof is lowered by discharging heat in a heat exchanger 5 to introduce into a low temp. water tank 6 and, again, the said low temp. water is supplied as an exhaust gas cooling water to a cooler 1. In this time, a pipe conduit is branched in a high temp. water flowd passage 10 and a high temp. water is intorduced into a ''Flon'' evaporator 14 to evaporate ''Flon'' and the electricity is generated by a ''Flon'' turbine or the like. The temp. lowered cooling water is entered to a warm water tank 6 through a heat exchanger 5. Moreover, in this case, a bypass circuit 17 is provided to a heat exchanger to adjust the cooling water temp. in an inlet of a warm water tank 6 as well as to eliminate the change of a cooling water temp. in an inlet of a warm water tank 6 and the operation of a cooler 1 is stabilized.
