CONSTITUTION: When tape cassette 1 incorporating sley tape 2 is mounted, supply reel 9 in cassette 1 is driven counterclockwise by motor 11, and a clockwise rotation command is given to driving motor 13 so that take-up reel 2 may give back tension to the magnetic tape; however, tape 2 is wound around supply reel 9 because torque of motor 11 is larger. Motors 11 and 13 are stopped when trailer tape 6 with the transparent beginning is detected by light source 15 and photoelectric detection unit 16, and tape leading-out arms 17a and 17b are driven clockwise by motor 19 to lead out tape 2 from the cassette to the outside. Simultaneously, driving motor 11 of reel 9 is rotated counterclockwise, and further, trailer tape 6 is wound around supply reel 9, and motor 11 is topped when trailer tape 6 is detected by light source 20' and photoelectric detection unit 20 on the running path of the tape led out by arms 17a and 17b.
