Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively generate a low-voltage output in a simple construction by inserting a first smoothing capacitor and an inversely-parallel-connected diode group across the output terminal and the ground of a rectifier circuit in series, and connecting a second smoothing capacitor in parallel therewith.
CONSTITUTION: An ac power is supplied to the input terminals of a bridge rectifier 16 by way of a power supply switch 15. The output terminals of the negative side of the rectifier 16 are connected to the ground by way of a rush-current limiting resistor 17. The output terminals of the postitve side of the rectifier 16 is connected to the ground by way of, at first, a first smoothing capacitor 18, and then, a plurality of diodes, e.g., two diodes D1 and D2 in the forward direction. A second smoothing capacitor 19 is connected in parallel with said diode group, and the terminal voltage of the diode group is supplied to an I2L frequency divider 12 as a power supply voltage. In this very simple constitution, a low-voltage output can be effectively generated.
