Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure strains at a plurality of regions at the same time, by contacting the tips of a plurality of sensing rods connected by a supporting point, and measuring the amounts of relative displacements of each tips. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of the sensing rods are connected by the supporting point, and the amount of displacement in relation to said supporting point of each sensing rod can be measured. The measurement is performed by contacting the tips of said measuring rods to an object to be measured. Thus the amount of the relative position between the tips is obtained, and the strains in a plurality of the regions can be measured at the same time. For example, the tips of three sensing rods comprising aluminum rods 14 and quartz rods 12 connected by a plate spring 16 are pushed to the object to be measured by a spring 20. The displacements of the relative positions between th tips when a load is applied on the object to be measured are measured by a differential transformers 22, 24, and 34, and the strains in the plurality of the regions can be measured at the same time.
