CONSTITUTION:A rotary drum 5 having a sheet-form photoreceptor 6 on the outside peripheral surface is so provided as to be able to rotate independently with respect to a revolving driving shaft. Now, when the revolving shaft 5a is revolved by means of a gear 23, the cam plate 27 also revolves. If at this time the pin 26 of a lever 25 is held engaged with the cam face 27a of the cam plate 27, the revolution of the cam plate 27 is transmitted to the rotary drum 5 and the drum 5 itself also rotates in the same direction. When the pin 26 is not held enaged with the cam face 27a, the spring 33 as the clutch mechanism disposed to the other end of the rotary drum 5 loosens and the revolution of the driving shaft 5b is not transmitted to the rotary drum 5 and therefore the drum 5 may be rotated to the position convenient for exchanging of the photoreceptor.
