Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable a plurality of recorded videos to be read out at high speed by an image pickup element, by recording original image information on a space modulation element through a reduction optical system using a scanning optical system in common.
CONSTITUTION: Space modulation element 5 is provided on the imaging face of original 1 in a reduction optical system, and the reduced video of orginal 1 is formed on the surface of SLM 5, and kept in a memorized state. This video is scanned likewise as a secondary original to form a secondary video through the imaging optical system of light condensation transmitting array 7, and this secondary video is read out by solid image pickup element 8, such as CCD. After processing by CCD 8, readout output is obtained via SBU 9 (sensor board unit) and VPU 10 (video process unit). A plurality of videos can be read out at high speed, and besides, a video readout device capable of readout for edition, such as partial readout or overlay readout can be obtained.
