Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the contamination of the atmosphere, by collecting evaporated fuel into the crankcase of an engine when it is stopped.
CONSTITUTION: When the engine is stopped, the front part 51a and rear part 51b of a first conduit 51 are connected to each other through a changeover valve 60 and a branch pipe 53 is disconnected from the rear part 51b and a second conduit 52 by the valve 60. At that time, a float chamber 33 of a carburetor 30 is connected to the crankcase 11 through an air vent passage P and the upper internal part of a tank 20 is connected to the crankcase through the first conduit 51. As a result, the evaporated fuel is collected into the case crankcase 11. When the engine is driven, the front part 51a and rear part 51b of the first conduit 51 are disconnected from each other by the changeover valve 60 and the branch pipe 53 is connected to the rear part 51 and the second conduit 52 through the changeover valve 60. As a result, the evaporated fuel is adsorbed by an air cleaner 40.
