Abstract
PURPOSE: The suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer or a mixture thereof with other monomers is conducted in an aqueous medium including an ester from fatty acid and sorbitan or sorbitol to produce title polymer with a good flowability and processability.
CONSTITUTION: The suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride monmer or a mixture mainly containing the same is effected in an aqueous medium containing 0.001W2, preferably 0.01W0.5 wt%, based on the polymer, of an ester from a fatty acid and sorbitan or sorbitol as sorbitan monocaprilate, sorbitan monolaurate, sorbitol monopalmitate or sorbitol monolinolate to produce said polymer showing good flowability because it is not electrically charged even after sent by air flow and also high heat stability.
