Abstract
PURPOSE: To treat a large quantity of muddy water by means of relatively small cyclones by providing the primary and secondary cyclones, which are connected with each other, to the ship body, and by separating dredged muddy water into water and mud through both the cyclones.
CONSTITUTION: Dredged muddy water is introduced to the primary cyclone 3 through the muddy water feed pipe 5 and branch pipe 6. The muddy water is treated in the primary cyclone, mud and sand particles of greater diameter are caught and discharged from the lower part of the primary cyclone. Overflowed water from the primary cyclone is led to the secondary cyclone 4, fine particles are caught and discharged from the lower part of the secondary cyclone. Mud and sand discharged from the respective cyclones are collected by the conveyer 2, overflowed water from the secondary cyclone is discharged from the collector pipe 7 to the outside of ship.
