CONSTITUTION: In the case of making color display in two colors (e.g., red and green), the portions between the transparent substrates 23a, 23b provided with mitually orthogonally intersecting parallel transparent electrode groups X, Y are segmented by providing partition walls 24 of required patterns to form the filling chamber 25R consisting of plural filling branch chambers 25R1, 25R2,...etc. connected by communicating parts 27R and the filling chamber 25G consisting of the similar constitution. Injection ports 26R, 26G are provided to the filling chambers 25R, 25G, respectively. Next, the inside of the respective filling chambers is brought to a negative pressure by exhausing air through the respective injection ports 26R, 26G, after which guest-host type liquid crystals R, G of red and green are sucked through the injection ports 26R, 26G to be filled in the chambers 25R, 25G, whereby the display cell is provided.
