Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to arrange a dielectric plate, which has an earth conductor formed on one surface and a converting element conductor on the other, in the same direction as a waveguide axis without taking up space near a waveguide wall circumference, by inserting the dielectric plate into the waveguide. CONSTITUTION:On the wider guide surface of waveguide 11, groove 11c in parallel to a narrower guide surface is formed at a width-directional center position and dielectric plate 14 is inserted along groove 11c from a flange 11a side. On one surface of plate 14, earth conductor 15 is formed and comes in contact with the wider guide surface of waveguide 11 at both edge parts 15a. On the other surface of plate 14, converting element conductor 16 is formed. Tip part 16a of conductor 16 is bent nearly at a right angle to the wider guide surface to attain mutual conversion between a coaxial mode and rectangular waveguide mode.
