Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the clear discrimination of a last time announcing sound from other preceding ones, by strengthening the last sound and lengthening its attenuation time.
CONSTITUTION: When time comes, a number of sounds set in a preset counter C2 is subtracted. When the content of the counter C2 becomes zero at the generation of last time announcing sound, an OR circuit OR1 produces an output to invert the output of a flip-flop F3 through a register 21 and a NOR circuit NOR10. As a result, a sound making clock signal whose on-duty factor is shorter than its off-duty and which is passed through an AND gate AND1 is inverted through a NOR circuit NOR11 so that the on-duty is made longer than the off-duty. At the same time, a gate TG1 of a damping circuit 16 is opened by the inversion of the flip-flop F3 to disconnect a resistor Rg to lengthen the damping time of the circuit 16. This results in strengthening the last time announcing sound made by a time announcing sound generation circuit 18 and in lengthening the reverberation time of the sound.
