Abstract

PURPOSE: To control formation of tar by providing a catalyst in the interior of the petroleum vaporizing chamber.
CONSTITUTION: The interior of the pertrleum vaporizing chamber 1 is coated with an inorganic refractory coating 2 prepared by containing at least one material selected from a group of the oxides of Group 2A or 1A of the Periodic Table or a group of the compounds which contain an oxide of said Group 1A or 2A of the Periodic Table and is represented by the formula: (MA)x(MB)y(O)z (wherein MA is an element in Group 1A or 2A of the Periodic Table, MB is an element in Group 3B or 4B of said table, O is oxygen, and x, y and z are each an integer) in a pigment compound of an alkali metal silicate, an acid metal phosphate and a metal oxide with excellent heat resistance. At least one of Na2O, K2O, CaO and MgO is used as the said oxide in Group 1A or 2A of the Periodic Table.
