Abstract
PURPOSE: The surface of polyester particles for molding is wetted with an organic liquid and covered with montan wax salt to produce title particles having increased screw feed properties and being suitably used in injection molding.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of (A) polyester particles for molding consisting of (a) 100 parts by wt of a linear saturated polyester of 0.4W1.2 intrinsic viscosity (measured in o-chlorophenol at 35°C) and (b) 0W200 parts of reinforcing materials as glass fibers is wetted with (B) 0.01W3 parts, per 100 parts of component A, of an inert organic liquid as aromatic carboxylate ester and then covered with (C) 0.05W 3 parts of a montan wax salt as sodium montanate.
EFFECT: Particles are advantageously used in injection molding as well as in other forming processes for thermoplactic resins.
