EXAMPLE: O-Ethyl-S-n-propyl-O-4 ( 4-trifluoromethylphenoxy ) phenyl-phosphorothiolate.
USE: Insecticides and acaricides.
PROCESS: An O-ethyl-S-n-propyl-phosphoric acid halide of formula II: (x is halogen) is reacted with a trifluoromethylphenoxyphenol of formula III in a solvent, e.g. an ethereal compound, in the presence of an acid acceptor, e.g. a trialkylamine, to give the objective compound.
