Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit quick restarting of copying, by moving the recording member accommodating part so that the paper may be replenished when absence of paper or other trouble occurs in the accommodating part.
CONSTITUTION: A transfer paper 10 is fed from a lifter 17. A lifter 17 is provided with a motor 25 to move the lifter 17 up and down, a microswitch 26 which becomes ON when the lifter 17 reaches the lowest position, and another microswitch 27 which becomes ON when the lifter 17 runs out of paper. Suppose the paper on the lift table runs out, the switch 27 being ON becomes OFF, and a lamp 30 in the device is lit, and the motor 25 is rotated to lower the lift 17. When the lifter 17 reaches the lowest position, the switch 26 is actuated to stop the motor 25, so that the lifter is stopped at the lowest position. Thus, since the container accommodating paper is automatically moved so as to be paper replenishable, the paper handling is safe and easy, so that copying may be restarted quickly.
