Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize the valve action of an electromagnetic pressure relief valve, by applying the repelling power of a compression coil spring in the same direction as that of the magnetic force working on the valve body.
CONSTITUTION: When an input current from an input terminal 12 is constant, the repelling power of a compression coil spring 19 works downward on an electromagnetic plunger 25 because of a gap X between the plunger's lower side and a lower plate's 10 upper side. When the valve body is moved rightward due to a disturbance by ΔX from an action point Q, that is, in the direction that the valve body is separated from its seating position, the force working upward to the valve body which is based on the fluid pressure is decreased to XF, and the electromagnetic force working downward on a needle valve 26 and the repelling power of the spring make a total of XE. As a result, a relationship XE-XF=Δf1 tends to reset the valve's action point. When the valve body is moved leftward by ΔX, that is, in the direction the valve is drawn near its seating position on the contrary, the electromagnetic force and the spring's repelling power make a total YH. Then a force of YG-YH=Δf2 works on the valve body and tends to reset the valve's action point to normal Q.
