Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent drop of conductivity in the supporting body penetrating direction especially at low humidity and prevent occurrence of fogging, by providing a dielectric layer having conductive stiff fine powder dispersed, on a supporting body having a conductive surface.
CONSTITUTION: A dielectric layer 4 is formed by spreading and drying a paint solution having conductive stiff line powder 5, such as SnO2, ZnO, In2O3, dispersed in a solution of resin such as polyester almost by the same parts by weight as the resin on a supporting body 1 having a conductive surface such as Al on a film 2 such as polyester. This electrostatic recording body 6 is charged with static charge by an electrostatic recording head 9, and pressed with an earth roll 10, and developed by a developing device 13 and platen 11, and is fixed by a fixing heater 12. Fine powder particles 5 contact with each other 7 due to the pressing force of the earth roll 10, and the dielectric layer 4 may be earthed sufficiently even if the relative humidity is low, so that occurrence of fogging may be prevented. A greater effect may be obtained by inevenly distributing the fine powder 5 in the fine protruding parts 8 on the dielectric layer 4.
