Abstract
PURPOSE: Kallikrein is adsorbed on a water-insoluble carrier combined with an alkylamine and purified simply in a large scale up to high purity.
CONSTITUTION: An alkylamine of formula I (n is 1W9) is bonded to a water- insoluble and hydrophilic carrier which is inactive and rough, such as agarose, dextrin, cellulose powder, to give the combined product of formula II (n is the same as above). A liquid containing kallikrein is brought into contact with the combined product preferably at 4.5W6pH and kallidrein is selectively adsorbed on it. Then, the adsorbed kallikrein is eluted with a solution containing an electrolyte as sodium chloride at 4.5W6pH or containing a hydrophobic compound as n-propanol.
