Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform bending test under the usage condition close to actual usage for large diameter flexible rubber tube for dredging, by providing the flexible rubber tube end support flange movable along the rails on the fixed base and the rotary base.
CONSTITUTION: The tested rubber tube is supported with the fixed member 3 on the fixed base 1, another end is supported with the fixed member 4 on the rotary base 2, and the center is mounted on the free movement stand 26. The flange fixing member 3 on the fixed stand 1 can be moved lengthwise freely on the rails 5, 5' of the fixed stand 1. When the rotary base 2 is turned with the hydraulic piston unit 11, the rubber tube is bent at the center. In this case, no compressive force is exerted toward lengthwise axial line at the same time when the bending force is exerted, then the bending test can be made with the condition close to the actual usage condition.
