Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent fluctuation of a print timing by providing a means which stores the number of hammer drives correspondingly to columns at the operation time of a timer operated for a fixed time and stopping the driving of the hammer when contents of the means above reach a prescribed value and suppressing the temperature rise of the hammer driving coil.

CONSTITUTION: Outputs of type code generation circuit 1 and print line buffer 2 are applied to collation circuit 3, and a coincidence signal from circuit 3 is outputted as a hammer driving signal through AND circuit 4. The driving signal is applied to AND circuit 14, and the timing is taken by a timing pulse and is used for the write signal of memory 5, and the number of hammer drives for each column is stored each time the hammer driving signal is inputted to memory 5. when contents of memory 5 reach a prescribed value, it is detected by decoder 7, and the output of decoder 7 is made of logical 1, and the inversion signal is applied to circuit 4 to inhibit generation of hammer driving signals until timer 12 is turned off, and after a fixed time, timer 12 is restarted by FF 11 to output hammer driving signals.
