Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I and its acid addition salt (R1W5 are H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, nitro, or halogen; n is 1 or 2).
EXAMPLE: 1-(2,3,4-Trimethoxybenzyl)-4-(2-benzoyl)ethylpiperazine.
USE: Low-toxic drug having coronary vessel blood flow increasing, calcium antagonistic activity. Stronger activity than trimethazidine.
PROCESS: A compound I wherein n is 1, is prepared by halogenating a compound II to a compound III, and reacting the compound III with trimethazidine III or its acid addition salt. Another form of the compound I wherein n is 2, is prepared by reacting a compound II with a compound IV and paraformaldehyde.
