Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a heat stabilizer for a chlorine-containing resin comprising a specific boron compound.
CONSTITUTION: Boric acid or boric anhydride and 2,2'-bis(4'-hydroxycyclohexyl) propane are reacted to obtain a stabilizer comprising a boron compound having a group represented by formula I (e.g. formulas II, III or the like). The above described stabilizer is used by adding 0.01W10wt parts, preferably 0.1W5wt parts, to 100wt parts of a chlorine-containing resin, such as vinyl chloride resin, vinylidene chloride resin, vinyl chloride-ethylene copolymer or the like.
