Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform stable development with a simple constitution by specifying the constitution of a toner defining plate.
CONSTITUTION: A support member 11 having a fulcrum 13 at the shaft 13 of a magnet roll 1 is mounted and a defining plate 9 is fixed by means of a screw 12 to this support member 11. With this arrangement, even if there is eccentricity in a photoreceptor 8 at the time of relatively rotating the non-magnetic sleeve 2 and magnet roll 1, drawing out magnetic toner 6 from discharge port 17, conveying the same and developing the electrostatic latent images having been formed on the surface of the photoreceptor 8, the magnet roll 1, support member 11 and defining plate 9 move about the fulcrum 13, by which the gap of the photoreceptor 8 and magnet roll 1 is maintained constant and the occurrence of any change in the defining amount of the magnetic toner 6 by the defining plate 9 is obviated, thus stable development is accomplished.
