Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure the level of liquid helium easily by measuring a change of resistance of the liquid level detecting element being provided to the pipe of the liquid level indicator, the tip of which is opened, and consists of a superconductive wire and a heating wire.
CONSTITUTION: The liquid level detecting element 6 with a strand of both superconductive and heating wires is placed in the indicator pipe, which is made of insulator for ultralow temperature, so that it is opposite to the opening 3 and windows 41lW43l, 41mW43m. When the tip of indicator moves from the upper side to the lower side of the liquid level of helium, the superconductive wire changes from the normal conduction state to the superconductive state.
