EXAMPLE: N-(1-tricyclo[4.4.1.12,5]undecyl)-2-ethoxy-acetamide.
USE: Highly active to RNA virus and DNA virus. Antivirals having no amantadine- like central nervous activity (remedies for viral diseases, antivirals for animals).
PROCESS: The objective compound of formula I is obtained by the thermal reaction of a compound of formula III (X is halogen) and a compound of formula R2-OM (M is alkali metal) in an inert organic solvent.
