Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to adjust arbitrarily a resonance frequency to reproduce a record with a high precision by bringing a spring material, which can adjust arbitrarily elasticity, into contact with the steel body which controls the rotation of a pickup arm.
CONSTITUTION: Steel-body lever 8 fitted to cartridge main body 7 is brought into contact with a record disc in parallel with cantilever 17, and the compression force of lever 8 onto the record disc surface can be adjusted by plate spring 14. Therefore, the value of a resonance frequency itself can be varied by adjusting freely the value of an effective stiffness at the view from the contact on the record disc dependent upon lever 8. Consequently, respective proper resonance frequencies are set to arms and vibrators having various kinds of characteristic, so that a high-precision record reproducing can be performed.
