Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a coating composition giving a cured coating film having excellent abrasion resistance, anti-fogging properties, and antistatic properties, by compounding a polyfunctional monomer of pentaerythritol poly(meth)acrylate and a polyethylene gloycol(meth)acrylate monomer.
CONSTITUTION: A composition composed of (A) 5W90 parts by weight of a monomer mixture consisting of (a) 30W95wt% of a polyfunctional monomer of mono- or polypentaerythritol poly(meth)acrylate of formula I ( at least three of X11, X12, X13, X12, X22,... Xn2, Xn3, and X14 are CH2=CR-COO-, and the others are -OH; n is an integer of 1W5; R is H or methyl), (b) 3W40wt% of a polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate monomer of formula II (R1 is H, etc.; R2 is 1W5C alkoxy, etc.; n is 5W30), (c) 0W30wt% of a monomer having up to two (meth)acryloyloxy groups in a molecule, (d) 1W20wt% of a phosphoric acid ester monomer of formula III [R3 is H or methyl; R4 is H or CH2=C(R5)-COO-(CH2)n; R5 is H or methyl; m and n are integers of 1W5], and (e) 1W10wt% of an ethanolamine compound of formula IV (R6,7 are H, etc.), (B) 95W10 parts by weight of an organic solvent, and (C) 0W10 parts by weight of a photo-sensitizer.
