Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a sprayable two-part rust preventive liquid, composed of a liquid epoxy resin and a hardening component containing an acid anhydride and a tertiary amine, wherein at least one of the above components contains a non- reactive epoxy resin diluent and electrically conductive powder.
CONSTITUTION: A composition composed of (A) a sprayable resin component containing an epoxy resin which is liquid at room temperature, and (B) a sprayable hardening component containing (a) a polycarboxylic acid anhydride which is liquid at room temperature and (b) 0.03W0.6mol, based on 1mol of the (a) component, of a tertiary amine compound, wherein at least one of the (A) and the (B) component contains 10W130pts.wt., based on 100pts. of (A)+(B), of a non-reactive epoxy resin diluent having a molecular weight of 300W4,000, e.g. a polymer of a phenol-modified aromatic compound, and (D) 0.5W20pts.wt. of electrically conductive powder such as carbon black.
EFFECT: Excellent workability and safety. Outstanding shower resistance, flexibility, and adhesivity. Suitable as a rust preventive material of automobile panels.
