Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the vacuum contact properties of the surface of a nonsilver photosensitive film, esp. an organic solvent-soluble photosensitive film and to provide abrasion resistance to the surface by forming a layer consisting of gum arabic, the sulfuric acid derivative of cellulose, saponin and a matting agent on the film surface. CONSTITUTION:On a support such as an Al plate or a polyester film a nonsilver photosensitive film, esp. an organic solvent-soluble photosensitive film is formed, and on this film surface a covering layer consisting of a binder and a matting agent such as SiO2 or TiO2 in a ratio of 1:100-100:1 by weight, preferably 1:10-10:1 is formed by coating or other method. The binder consists of gum arabic 15- 90wt%, the sulfuric acid derivative of cellulose 10-90wt% and saponin 70wt% or less. The resulting photosensitive material requires remarkably shortened time for vacuum contact in work such as contact printing and enables perfect contact. The mat layer does not deteriorate the photosensitive properties and developability of the photosensitive film.
