Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to keep a high humidity exchanging efficiency, by forming partition plates with permeable gas shielding material obtained by combining water- soluble, high-molecular substance containing humidity absorbing agent or other with a porous member made of glass fiber and cellulose fiber combined with each other.
CONSTITUTION: A total heat exchanger is constituted by partition plates 1, spacer plates 2 and air passages 3, 4 formed between them and it is used as ventilating means or the like for exchanging air in the room with fresh open air. These partition plates 1 are made of permeable gas shielding material which is obtained by combining water-soluble, high-molecular substance containing humidity absorbing agent and, if necessary, flame retardant material with a porous fibrous member made of glass fiber and cellulose fibers, 5μm or less than that in diameter, combined with each other. By thus constituting the heat exchanger, it is enabled to reduce heat loss through the recovering of temperature of room air (sensible heat) and humidity (latent heat), and at the same time, to keep a high humidity exchanging efficiency independently of relative humidity of gas to be treated.
