Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound suitable for an electrical wire, etc., by partially crosslinking a vinyl chloride resin compositin to such an extent as to become moldable, by the action of a peroxide in the process for the compounding of a vinyl chloride resin composition containing a specified organic peroxide.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100pts.wt. Vinyl chloride resin, (B) 5W100pts.wt. elastomer (e.g., chlorinated polyethylene or an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer) crosslinkable by use of an organic peroxide, (C) 1W4pts.wt. polymerizable compound (e.g., triallyl cyanurate or divinylbenzene) and (D) 0.05W1.5pts.wt. organic peroxide (e.g., dicumyl peroxide or di-t-butyl peroxide), are mixed. Then the titled compound is obtained by partically crosslinking the resulting composition to such an extent that it becomes moldable as a thermoplastic resin, by heating and kneading the composition above a decomposition temperature of the peroxide.
