Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled first having superior electrical characteristics and capable of being well calcined under conventional calcining conditions for enamel by specifying the contents of SiO2, B2O5, one or more among Na2O, K2O and Li2O and one or more among CaO, BaO, ZnO, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The low-alkali frit for enamel consists of, by wt., 30W50% SiO2, 20W35% B2O3, 5.5% one or more among Na2O, K2O and Li2O and 20W40% one or more among CaO, BaO, ZnO, MgO and SrO each represented by RO. By adding ≤10% TiO2 and/or ZrO2 or ≤3% Al2O3 to said frit components, the chemical resistance of the glass is enhanced. By further adding 0.05W5% NiO, CoO, MnO or the like to said frit components, the frit can be used as a ground coat.
