NEW MATERIAL:A peptide derivative shown by the formula I (R is prolyl-leucyl, glycyl-prolyl-leucyl, prolyl-alanyl, etc.; X is a group shown by the formula II or III).
EXAMPLE: ( N-carbobenzoxyglycyl-L-prolyl-L-leucyl-glycyl-L-prolyl )-4-methylcoumaryl-7-amide.
USE: A base for measuring a specific enzyme activator e.g., peptidase similar to collagenase useful for diagnosis of disease of a viscus, e.g., the liver, the kidney, etc. and its synthetic intermediate.
PROCESS: t-Butyloxycarbonyl-L-proline is reacted with 7-amino-4-methyl coumarin to give (N-t-butyloxycarbonyl-L-proline)-4-methyl-coumaryl-7-amide, which is reacted with carbobenzoxyglycyl-L-prolyl-L-leucyl-glycine to give a compound shown by the formula I.
