Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a laser oscillation whose output is stable for a long time possible, by providing gas tanks and a regenerator and by regenerating a deteriorated laser gas. CONSTITUTION:Fresh laser gas is filled in a reservoir tank 48, and a reservoir tank 47 is vacant for replacing. The used laser gas in a laser generating portion is transfered into the tank 47 via a valve 41, a vacuum pump 43 and a valve 45. Then, fresh gas in the tank 48 is introduced into the gas laser generating portion via a valve 46, a vacuum pump 44, and a valve 42, the generating portion is operated again, and the laser oscillation is restarted. At the same time, the gas in the tank 47 is refined and regenerated in a gas regenerating device 50 via valves 51A and 51B, and reserved for the next gas replacement. Since the regenerating device 50 is provided outside a frame 30 and the regenerating device 50 is provided outside the frame 30 and independent of the laser generating portion, and the operating temperature can be freely and accurately set when catalyst is used, the gas can be regenerated at the maximum regenerating efficiency which the catalyst can display.
