Abstract
PURPOSE: To realize an equipment suitable to a commodity of journey portability by protecting the equipment against abnormal heating without overweighting a load by providing automatic half-wave or full-wave rectification of an output according to the level of an electric power voltage.
CONSTITUTION: Between terminals 1 and 2 connecting with an AC power source, the series circuit of capacitor 3 and two-terminal thyristor 4 is connected and the bridge circuit consisting of control rectifying element 9 with a control circuit such as SCR and three diodes 6W8 is provided; and this bridge circuit is connected in parallel to the series circuit. Between the connection point between capacitor 3 and thyristor 4, an the control terminal of control rectifying element 9, resistor 10 is further connected and load 11 where resistor 12 and DC motor 13 are connected in series is driven. While an electric power voltage is high, control rectifying element 9 is brought under the control of thyristor 4. Only when the side of terminal 1 is held at a positive potential, the bridge circuit is used for half-wave rectification and when low, it serves as a full-wave rectifying circuit, preventing load 11 from heating up abnormally.
