Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture a polyester fiber material improved in adhesiveness to rubber, which is not deteriorated so much even if it is exposed to a high temperature in rubber for a long time, by treating the polyester fiber material with a carrier containng liquid at least prior to treating the same with an adhesive agent.
CONSTITUTION: A polyester fiber material is treated with (A) a treating liquid containing a carrier like o-phenylphenol or chlorobenzene, (B) an aqueous dispersion of blocked isocyanate obtained by blocking a compound including more than three isocyanate groups and/or epoxy resin obtained through reaction of phenol resin and halohydrin, and (C) a mixture liquid of resorcin, formaldehyde and rubber latex. Although the above treatment can be carried out either in a single stage or in a plurality of stages, it is absolutely necessary to use the treating liquid A at the first stage of treatment and the mixture liquid C at the final stage.
