Abstract
PURPOSE:To prepare a composition for oral cavity application, having synergistic effect to improve the acid-resistance of the tooth effective to prevent the tooth decay, and exhibiting the excellent effect even under weak acidic conditions, by compounding stannous fluoride, a water-soluble fluorine compound, and a phytic acid compound. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition is prepared by compounding (A) 1mol of stannous fluoride, (B) <=3.5mol, pref. 2.2-3.2mol, as fluorine atom, of a water- soluble fluorine compound such as NaF, and (C) <=2mol, pref. 0.3-1.5mol of a phytic acid compound (e.g. phytic acid, sodium phytate, etc.), and adjusting the pH of the mixture to 4-7. The amount of (A) in the whole composition is pref. 0.03-4wt%, and especially in the case of preparing tooth-paste, the composition pref. contains 100-1,000ppm total fluorine, 190-2,800ppm tin in the stannous compound, and 380-28,000ppm phytic acid compound reduced to phytic acid.
