Abstract

PURPOSE: To control a press apparatus for avoiding concentration of load in a portion by measuring reaction on rails in transferring large-scaled structures from quaywall to a burge by use of the press apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: When a heavy structure 3 transferred through rails 5, 6 to a barge 9 anchored to quaywall 10 by wires 8 is laid on both of the quaywall 10 and barge 9, jacks 1, 2 on land and barge are used. A sensor 4 is provided in the connection of the rails 5, 6 to detect reaction produced between both rails and control the jacks 1, 2 for cancelling tensile reaction applied to the wires 8 anchoring the barge 9. Thus, the structure can be safely transferred irrespective of its weight.
